INFORMATION
Last two events in the strict center of Ljubljana at the Congress Square ensured a spectacular and internationally rejuvenating sporting event.
The Challenger series is the second level of FIBA 3X3 competition after Masters. In 2019, 26 such tournaments are confirmed, one of them in Slovenia at the Congress Square in Ljubljana. Thus the Slovenian capital has found itself in the elite of the world series, which means that the world’s best teams will come to us.
Slovenia has been on the calendar of the world series and it is no surprise that the Slovenian team has achieved the highest international results.
SYSTEM
The competition will be organized by the Basketball Association of Slovenia and the Extrem Agency after the established system of basketball tournaments 3×3. The competition takes place first in groups, where the teams are divided into four groups of four teams, then the best two teams from each group advance to the quarterfinals, where the eliminating begins until to finals. The money fund is $32,000.
VENUE
The capital city of Ljubljana with an exceptional Congress Square is a spectacular venue, one of the most beautiful in the entire world basketball series 3×3. Day and night scenes in the city center are really impressive! A basketball court in the center of the square, surrounded by three tribunes for 2000 visitors, dynamic lighting and sound system, and the urban touches blend into an unforgettable experience!
